To prepare in a large iron skillet: Brown ground beef or turkey, add onion, garlic and the spices, mix thoroughly add and combine the rest of the ingredients. At this point, let the ingredients cool then put into the Ziploc bag or pour into a large bowl and put aside. Wipe your skillet clean with a paper town. Oil with vegetable oil just to coat. Line the bottom of the skillet with three to four taco shells. Add a layer of your mixture. Add a layer of cheese. Keep repeating this until all ingredients are used. You should end up with about three layers. Top with extra cheese. Cover tightly with foil. Place on wire rack about six inches away from the coals. Should take about 30 minutes to get hot enough, you will want the cheese melted, the lasagna to be hot in the center. Watch carefully how much heat there is because you don't want to burn the bottom layer.
This can be prepared in a 13x9 in pan in the oven at 350 degrees for about 30-40 minutes. Serve with sour cream and a tossed salad.
